Quarry Farm
Wedding Photographer
A gazebo ceremony above the water, golden hour down a tree-lined lane and a rammed-earth room glowing into the night. If you are saying your vows at Quarry Farm, here is how your day looks through my lens.
See If We're a Fit →Two hundred acres, one wedding at a time.
Quarry Farm is a working farm in the Darling Ranges foothills that hosts a single wedding at a time, so from morning until the last dance the whole property is yours. You get a big covered gazebo above the dam for the ceremony, the Jacaranda-lined Quarry Lane, a giant wild fig tree and an old shearing shed for portraits, and the rammed-earth Homestead for the reception. As a Perth wedding photographer, it is one of the most varied places I get to shoot, a full day of locations without ever getting in the car.
Getting there: Quarry Farm is at 1475 South Western Hwy, Whitby WA 6123, a few minutes south of Byford and about 45 minutes from the Perth CBD.
What to expect
Your day at Quarry Farm, moment by moment
A ceremony above the water
The big gazebo sits on the edge of the lawn looking out over the Quarry dam, so your vows happen under cover with green hills and water behind you. Rain or blazing sun, the day goes ahead exactly as planned, and the view does the decorating for you.
Room to make an entrance
Two hundred acres means your arrival can be whatever you want it to be. Sarah came across the paddocks in a white horse-drawn carriage, and the farm swallowed the moment whole, no traffic, no strangers, just your people watching you arrive.
Golden hour on Quarry Lane
The Jacaranda-lined lane is the photo spot the farm is known for, a long tunnel of trees with soft light pouring through it. It blooms purple in November, and the rest of the year it glows green and gold at sunset. Either way, it is a portrait you cannot get anywhere else in Perth.
The old shearing shed
A real working shearing shed, corrugated iron, worn boards and doorways that frame the paddocks like paintings. The low light in there makes for moody, timeless portraits that feel a world away from the polished ballroom look.
A rammed-earth reception
The Homestead is a soaring rammed-earth room with floor-to-ceiling windows over the pasture, warm timber, Edison bulbs and a wall of fairy lights. It photographs beautifully all night, and the farm views stay with you right through the speeches.
