Tucked into the Swan Valley wine country at Herne Hill, Sittella gives you rolling vineyards, rustic terracotta charm and one of Perth's most photogenic golden hours, all in the one place. As a Perth wedding photographer, it is one of my favourite venues to shoot, and I have walked every corner of it with a couple in soft evening light.
What to expect
Your Sittella day, moment by moment
Wine country, start to finish
Rustic terracotta walls, a working cellar door and vineyards in every direction. Sittella feels relaxed and grown-up at the same time, and it photographs beautifully in any light.
An outdoor gazebo ceremony
You will say your vows under the shade of the gazebo, framed by the vines, with a long garden aisle to walk. On a warm day, guests reach for the parasols and the whole thing feels like a summer celebration.
Cellar door wind-down
After the ceremony we head to the cellar door for a cold drink and a breather, surrounded by Sittella’s framed wine awards, before slipping out into the vines for relaxed portraits.
Golden hour in the vines
About twenty minutes before sunset, I will steal you away for a few quiet minutes in the vineyard. This is when the magic happens, and these are the photos that end up on your wall.
A fairy-lit reception
The indoor reception is cosy and intimate, wrapped in fairy lights and warm timber. It is made for long speeches, full dance floors and the kind of night nobody wants to end.
