Swan Valley Wedding Story: From Expo Meeting to Sittella Winery Vows

Tahnee and James’s wedding was a story waiting to be told from the moment we met at the Swan Valley Twilight Wedding Expo at Pinelli Estate Restaurant. We instantly clicked, and I could already picture their wedding day being filled with emotional moments, plenty of laughs, and a bit of light-hearted chaos. That vision became a reality on their wedding day at Sittella Winery. A day where every special moment was beautifully captured.

Even the 40-degree heat couldn’t slow us down. From heartfelt family moments to golden hour magic, this wedding was one for the books.

Crown Towers & Quest Midland Wedding Prep with Bridal Party Emotions

The day began at two separate locations, each with its own vibe but one common thread. Excitement.

James and his groomsmen prepped at Crown Towers Perth, with the room filled with laughter, playful banter, and a few drinks to shake off the nerves. Suit adjustments, shirts shirted, and spontaneous jokes made for some amazing candid shots. James was calm but couldn’t hide the excitement bubbling beneath his confident exterior.

Meanwhile, over at Quest Midland Hotel, Tahnee and her bridal party were getting ready with Enigma for Hair and Makeup by Tori French, working their magic to create a soft, romantic look. The room was filled with emotional moments, particularly during the first look between Tahnee and her dad. You could see how proud he was as his eyes welled up. Tahnee then gifted her parents meaningful keepsakes, and the room melted into hugs and tears.

Wedding Ceremony at Sittella Winery

The outdoor ceremony at Sittella Winery was set under the natural shade of the venue, keeping guests cool as they waited for the main event. Parasols in hand, they soaked in the rustic charm of the vineyards surrounding them. Nephew Luca proudly carried the rings as the ring bearer, and the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle. Samara, holding Tahnee and James’s adorable daughter Arlea, was followed by Clancy, the maid of honour.

Tahnee’s walk down the aisle with her dad was a moment filled with emotion. You could see James’s breath catch when he saw her, and she smiled the entire way down the aisle. These moments weren’t just photos. They were emotions you could feel radiating through each frame.

Their vows were personal and heartfelt, making the guests laugh, cry, and cheer all within minutes. As they exchanged rings and sealed their promises with a kiss, the rustic setting of Sittella Winery provided the perfect backdrop for their love story.

Relaxed Wedding Photos at Sittella’s Cellar Door and Vineyard

After the ceremony, the large group photo was snapped, and then we all headed to the cellar door area for some much-needed relief. With champagne and beers in hand, the bridal party cooled off before we began the portraits. The setting, the drinks, and the laughter created the perfect balance of fun and relaxation before we got back to work.

We explored the shaded areas of the vineyard, capturing stunning moments against the backdrop of Sittella’s greenery and rustic textures. One of my favourite shots? Tahnee and James racing across the lawn, their laughter echoing around us. These spontaneous moments are what weddings are all about. Real, unscripted joy.

The bouquet by Cassidy Rann Floral popped beautifully against the vineyard’s earthy tones, and Tahnee’s dress from True Society by Tuscany Bridal had an elegant flow that made every movement photo-worthy.

Golden Hour Wedding Photos at Sittella Winery

After the reception had kicked off, I whisked Tahnee and James away for a golden hour session about 20 minutes before sunset. The vineyard’s soft golden glow created the perfect romantic atmosphere for capturing some of the most iconic Sittella Winery wedding photos of the day.

These moments were quiet and intimate, giving the couple a chance to soak in the beauty of their day. Tahnee’s dress flowed effortlessly in the soft breeze, and James held her close as the warm light bathed them in a dreamy glow. We moved through the vineyard, finding angles that highlighted the backdrop’s natural beauty while keeping the couple front and centre.

This session wasn’t just about capturing beautiful photos. It was about creating memories they’ll relive every time they look at these shots. Whether it was the quiet hand-holding or the gentle laughter as they walked through the vineyard, this part of the day brought everything full circle.

The indoor reception space at Sittella Winery felt cozy, intimate, and perfectly decorated for the occasion. Baking With Carbs created a stunning cake that stood as a centrepiece for the evening. After the cake-cutting, the speeches began, and oh, they did not disappoint. From heartfelt stories to hilarious memories that had everyone in stitches, the room was filled with warmth, laughter, and a few happy tears.

Once the formalities wrapped up, it was time to hit the dance floor. DJ Entertainment Events kept the energy high, spinning tracks that had everyone letting loose. Tahnee and James’s choreographed first dance was graceful and elegant, earning applause and cheers.

By the end of the night, the floor was a flurry of dance-offs, twirls, and spontaneous karaoke moments. Exactly how a wedding reception should be.
